ABOUT JEAN-MARC NUGENT

Passionate about working in innovative, collaborative environments to address society\'s most urgent challenges. I enjoy working from a blank slate to define creative solutions to complex problems. Continuously looking to learn and expand my skill set however I can. Currently in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary leadership role at a fast-growing clean energy startup, building and leading an agile team of mechanical/electrical/analytics engineers. We are dedicated to ensuring industry-leading energy availability for our customers, while orchestrating the seamless delivery of performance insights derived from extensive data collected from our deployed products. Our focus lies not only in maintaining operational excellence but also in scaling our operations to nimbly and reliably support a nationwide fleet of generators that provide 24/7/365 power to a wide range of customers and use cases. I\'ve been lucky to develop a diverse skill set through this cross-functional experience. I have been deeply involved in many aspects of our company\'s growth, including: leveraging mechanical and systems-level engineering expertise to rapidly troubleshoot new designs; spearheading the creation and development of a new operations and analytics team; building and deploying novel incident/problem management systems from scratch; crafting automated data pipelines, visualizations, and tools using Python and SQL; and creating and deploying new operational systems and procedures to ensure reliability and scalability. I am deeply committed to continuous self-development and learning, as well as teaching and professional mentorship. Most effective and energized when working with versatile teams in high-growth, innovative environments, focused on fostering positive change.
