   With more than 25 years of professional experience, JC Alten has directed the successful delivery of well over 3 million square feet of new construction. Supporting clients from retail to technology, hospitality to corporate office, banking, museums and manufacturing, JC Alten has worked as a construction manager, consultant and owner\'s representative overseeing tenant improvements, corporate restacks, new construction and relocations.As a Renewable Energy Project Consultant, JC Alten has been actively working with developers of key biomass energy technologies including biomass boiler technology, gasification, gas-to-liquids, Fischer–Tropsch, pyrolysis, transesterification, ethanol fermentation, torrefaction, gas-to-power and anaerobic digestion biogas power generation. During his time and efforts, the question of second generation “non-food” and truly sustainable biomass feedstock became his core concern and JC Alten became dedicated to addressing “just what biomass feedstocks can reliably supply these processes with the required quality and quantity in an economically and environmentally sustainable way?” JC Alten succeeded in developing an agriculturally derived wood pellet alternative exceeding all other energy crop pellets, achieving certified lab results of >8,500 Btu/lb,<2% ash, 2700 Ash Deformation Temperature, rivaling many premium wood pellets. Working with multi-national textile manufacturers and other companies, Mr. Alten assisted the conversion away from fossil fuels with locally sourced and sustainable biomass feedstock supplies supporting their steam and power generating operations.
