ABOUT JEAN-CHRISTOPHE REMIGY

We are a team that designs and develops membranes for process intensification. We seek to develop or to functionalize polymeric materials to produce membranes, flat sheet or hollow fiber shape, adapted to process specifications or needs. Our actions take place initially at the laboratory scale up to the pilot stage especially for hollow fibers. Our research is carried out from TRL 1 to 4 taking into account industrial constraints. Thus, we are also studying the membrane processes using the designed membranes and practice technology transfer.We are fully competent on membrane filtrations (MF, UF, NF, OI) in aqueous or hydro alcoholic media, membrane contactors for gas exchange (CO2 capture, dissolved gas samplers, dissolved gas control) and catalytic membrane reactors. We have developed membranes containing trapped catalytic nanoparticles which make it possible to reduce the reaction times (hydrogenation, Suzuki Myaura) by a factor of using both filtration or contactors.We are accustomed to working in collaborative projects (national/international) involving academic researchers or industrial partners. Our partners often have skills, culture and expectations that are different from ours and the implementation of a common language allows us to evolve in synergy.
