ABOUT JEAN-BERNARD DURAND
As a tenure-track professor at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, I have over 25 years of experience in the field of cardio-oncology, the intersection of cardiovascular disease and cancer. I hold an MD and a PhD in molecular biology and genetics, and I have authored multiple publications and received prestigious awards for my research. My strengths include clinical trials, molecular genetics, cardiovascular transplantation, circulatory devices, immunology, and electronic health records. I am also the medical director of cardiomyopathy services, the department of cardiology quality officer, and the co-chair of the institutional review board at MD Anderson. I serve as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University, where I share my knowledge and passion for medical education. My goal is to create new knowledge and improve the outcomes for patients who suffer from both cardiovascular disease and cancer.
