Energy Audit and Assessment: conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments of naval vessels to analyse the energy consumption patterns of various systems and identify areas where improvements can be made System Optimization: optimize the ship\'s propulsion systems, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, lighting, and other energy-consuming components. Involves upgrading equipment, implementing advanced control systems, or recommending alternative energy sources as waste heat recovery systems Data Analysis: collect and analyze data from sensors and monitoring systems to track energy consumption and performance. Drive decisions on where energy-saving measures can be implemented. Establishment and calibration of energy models (Digital twin) of ships using tools developed by CdA that replicates the ship’s behavior in order to quantify the energy flows on board and compare it to real operation Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor energy efficiency improvements and report on their impact. Track key performance indicators and provide regular updates on energy consumption and cost savings. Training ship crews on best practices for energy efficiency and conservation to ensure that the ship operates optimally Design Recommendations: Provide recommendations for the design and construction of new built ships. Specify energy-efficient systems, and technologies. Improve engine performance, hull design, and implementation of fuel-efficient technologies Environmental Compliance: Comply with environmental regulations related to emissions and energy efficiency to meet sustainability goals. Research and Development: Emerging technologies and best practices in energy efficiency. Conduct R&D projects to test and implement innovative energy-saving solutions : Publications in Wind Assisted Propulsion and Routing algorithm application development
