About Jeremy Parrish
With over 30 years of experience in North Carolina Public Schools—primarily within the Wake County Public School System—I have dedicated my career to fostering educational excellence. A native of North Carolina, I earned my bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from East Carolina University and my Master of School Administration from North Carolina State University. My professional journey has allowed me to serve in diverse roles, including English teacher, high school administrator, and professional learning specialist. As an administrator, I focused on curriculum leadership, fostering effective Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and implementing the Academy model, which included founding my school’s STEM Academy of Energy and Sustainability. As a professional learning specialist, I played a key role in developing our district’s instructional coaching model and strengthening PLC practices. In my most recent past role as Senior Administrator for Secondary English Language Arts, I lead the district wide implementation of ELA curricula. I am proud to have been instrumental in the rollout of a comprehensive high school ELA program and the integration of EL Education across our middle schools.
