About Joseph Kovar
Before my current position, I worked in quality assurance as a supplier quality auditor/quality engineer with 6 years of experience in manufacturing including aviation, heat exchangers, and safety devices. Prior to that I obtained 7 years of full-time and contract experience doing API-510 visual inspections of pressure vessels and associated mechanical integrity calculations for the oil & gas industry.I am interested industrial engineering positions and the manufacturing areas of quality assurance/integrity management, internal auditing, supplier monitoring/development, continuous improvement, and production management/inventory control. I have 3 engineering degrees - 2 masters (industrial and food engineering) to go with my bachelors in chemical engineering and graduated with honors in all of them.Before the pandemic, I was a volunteer presenter of four courses for the five course extensive leadership development program, APO LEADS, which focuses on skills that enable attendees to become successful leaders and team members in any situation. I have the ability to learn new things quickly and will continue to pursue certifications (IAQG, API, ASNT, Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, CWI, APICS, etc.) that are relative to my field. I have taken classes for both ISO 9001 and AS9100D auditing and obtained the AS9100 auditor certification.
