Local government administration. General administrative responsibility for all city functions, with designated responsibility for Operations Services including Public Transit, Planning/Development Services, Engineering, Streets & Traffic Control, Sanitation/Landfill, Parks & Recreation, Information Technology Services/GIS and Water/Wastewater Utilities. Participate in development & recommendation of annual budget and supervise FTE serving a municipal population of Participate in planning & strategies for all departments in this full-service city serving as a regional and economic hub for people including cost-effective, modern service delivery and the utilization of technology, sound fiscal planning and sustainability initiatives. Serve as liaison to the local Port Authority, the Central Business Improvement District, and participate in economic development recruitment initiatives with the Chamber of Commerce. Significant projects include implementation of a Federal consent order for wastewater improvements, a review & update of the city’s comprehensive plan, construction of a $3.2 million landfill scale house facility, and an $11.9 million aquatic park. Currently on a project team to replace/modernize the city’s Enterprise Resource Plan, including software upgrades and business process review. Served as Acting City Administrator from July, 2015 through April, 2016 and again from December, 2024 to present.
