ABOUT JOHN APPLETON

I joined Bee-Clean in 2006 and have had the privilege to work with this outstanding company that earned recognition in 2019 as one of Canada’s best managed companies.As a certified project manager, I have a unique role because I work with a diverse team of professionals across Canada; while at the same time I lead our start-up enterprise in Beijing, China. With my team, we coordinate and manage service delivery to over 450 million sq. ft. of space every evening from all corners of Canada. When people ask me where I work, I usually say on an Air Canada flight and that you will most likely find me on the ground in Vancouver, Beijing, Edmonton, Calgary or Toronto. Whichever city I am in, my focus is on understanding what we do and exploring innovative ways to do it better. When Covid-19 became a threat to our operations in China, I was proud to lead the creation of our National Pandemic Management Team which was built upon decades of corporate expertise in pandemic response cleaning. Bee-Clean continues to be a global leader in pandemic management as a result of our investment in disinfection cleaning innovations. Commercial cleaning is a dirty business, but 2020 represented one of the most significant shifts in the industry’s history as the world stopped asking “if it is clean”; and rather focused on “is it safe”. Our service program is squarely focused on protecting our clients and our staff so that they can go home safely until this pandemic is behind us.As intimidating as today’s viral world is, my job remains working harder, working smarter and leading innovation through Canada’s Cleaning Company.
