Jonathan D. Meekins is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. Meekins has interned with BGE, Inc- Civil Engineers and Surveyors in Land Development Engineering. First internship experience in the field of civil engineering coming out of his freshman year of college. Second internship opportunity at AECOM - Houston in the field of Transportation Engineering. Just recently completed his third engineering internship with Harris County Engineering Department. Currently interning remotely with the Marketing & Public Relations Department of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc- Corporate Headquarters.Throughout college he has been involved with the Student Government Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and National Society of Black Engineers serving as the 20••••17 National Public Relations Chairperson. In this capacity worked closely with the 20••••17 Convention Planning Committee that coordinated NSBE\'s 43rd Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri March/April 2017 and was integral piece to the puzzle that insured a successful convention. Meekins in his final two years at Prairie View A&M University has been working on the executive board for the Campus Activities Board as Co-Chair/Creative Director of the Marketing & Promotions committee.
