About Jd Holzheauser
I am a construction attorney with Peckar & Abramson, P.C. in Houston, Texas. I formerly spent eight years working in our Austin office before transferring to Houston in 2022. I work in both our Austin and Houston offices and am involved with the industry in both places. My practice includes contract drafting and negotiation, project execution, dispute resolution, and all the ancillary issued related to those issues. I am familiar with Texas law that relates to contract clauses, payment requirements, design responsibility, risk management, mechanic\'s liens, bonding, sovereign immunity, and other issues. In addition to my construction background, I have a lifelong interest in local, state, and federal politics and try to stay as actively involved in politics as my time allows. P&A also has offices in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, River Edge, NJ, New York, Oakland, CA, and Washington, D.C. We assist developers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties across the country with contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and all other legal aspects of construction for public and private construction projects. Construction law largely contracts-based, with many issues controlled by local regulations, state and federal regulations and statutes, and state and federal case law. We specialize in all of those areas in relation to construction. P&A is the largest construction law firm in the United States. We are uniquely prepared to assist our clients with any issues across the construction law spectrum.
