About Jonathan Harris
I am a Network Admin working with GDIT and a U.S. Army Reservist working as a Network specialist. I have obtained my B.S Degree in Network Engineering and Security with WGU. I currently have CompTIA Security+, CCNA, and a few other certifications. When not working or studying, I enjoy playing around on RaspberryPi devices for small home IT projects such as a VPN, file server, and network ad-blocker/monitor.My official title in the military is Network Communications System Sergeant although while deployed I have worked in multiple roles including NOC Analyst, IT Help Desk Technician, and Joint operations ISSM. I worked with DoD Contractors and led a team of ISSOs on account compliance, incident response, and security control assessment. In my current position with GDIT, I work as a layer 2 network engineer supporting medical and research facilities, and assist our other IT teams as needed. In both my current positions, I have worked among a strong team leading and supporting various projects. Throughout my previous roles, I have worked in several customer satisfaction positions building strong communication and mediation skills.I look forward to connecting and building a strong network of various IT professionals. I work with many other Signal Soldiers in the Army who are looking to build their civilian careers and would love to make connections that I can pass their way.
