Manages the Sports and Recreation Center, Overlook Fitness Center, Wightman Pool, Beach Volleyball Court and outdoor intramural fields to accommodate a diverse array of uses, including university and external event and programs such as: intramural sports, aquatics, club sports, and non-credit instructional programs• Develops and implements policies, practices, procedures and rules governing facility operation, use, safety, security and personnel• Hires, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, disciplines, evaluates and supervises professional and support staff• Develops and maintains a comprehensive scheduling system to coordinate recreational activities, arena rentals, university programs, athletic practices and competitions, intramural activities, concerts, exhibitions and floor shows• Coordinates all aspects of arena management, including contract negotiation, event planning, supervision of set-up/take down operations, reconciliation, billing and evaluation• Develops and recommends the annual budget for the overall operation of the Recreation Center, Fitness Center and associated programs and monitors expenditures• Oversees the Recreational Services student payroll system, card/security access system to the Recreation Center, and micros system• Serves on division- and University-wide committees and task forces• Supervises the coaches of volleyball, men’s and women’s swimming, field hockey, bowling, cheerleading, dance, ice hockey, and rugby and the equipment and events manager• Manages home game logistics including dissemination of game agreements, liaising with officials’ assignors and process officials’ paperwork as well as coordinating away game team transportation• Coordinates and contracts team bus travel for away events• Oversight of fan engagement initiatives, such as mascot, themes, and in-game promotions• Organize pre-season camps and new student orientation programs• Works with Director of Athletics and Recreation on capital projects
