As Vice President of State & Federal Campaigns at the Clean Slate Initiative, I\'m leading the organization\'s comprehensive efforts to put all 50 states and Washington DC on a pathway to automated record clearance, while simultaneously developing implementable policies and technical frameworks for effective nationwide adoption. To date, Clean Slate legislation has been passed in 13 states + DC. A diverse mix of red, blue, and purple political landscapes, demonstrating the truly bipartisan appeal of this transformative policy.My role combines strategic vision with practical execution. I lead a talented and dynamic team that develops comprehensive blueprints that guide states from initial landscape assessment through campaign development to legislative victory. This systematic approach has proven effective across diverse political environments by emphasizing workforce development, public safety, and second chances—values that resonate across party lines.I\'m also leading advocacy for the Clean Slate Act in Congress, which would automatically seal federal arrests and certain convictions after people remain crime-free, alongside the companion Fresh Start Act, which would provide federal funding to states implementing their own Clean Slate policies. Together, these bills represent a comprehensive approach to ensuring millions of Americans can access opportunities without the burden of an old record.
