About Joshua K.

I am enrolled as a student in CEAS at University of Cincinnati, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Electronics and Computing. I have an interest in biomedical research and product development, and have experience working with ultrasonic systems. I intend to use my degree to improve the quality of life of many through medical device design and production.My current employment is with NuVasive in West Carrollton, Ohio as an associate manufacturing engineering co-op. I am developing skills valuable to the manufacturing of medical devices, including extensive project management, process engineering, workflow management, and project communication.I have been employed by ZetrOZ Systems as a R&D engineering co-op in Trumbull, Connecticut. Alongside doing cutting-edge research into ultrasound technology and development of new products, I wrote a research study on the synergetic effects of long duration ultrasound and platelet-rich plasma, and was published in Orthopedic & Muscular System: Current Research. I developed effective project management, marketing, communication, and technical writing skills. These skills developed by working a variety of fields promote my success as an engineer. I have been described as an innovator, a leader, and a professional. In my spare time I enjoy reading, working out, and cooking.
