As a Security Architect for Bose, I help lead the DevSecOps responsibilities within the Bose Product Cloud (BPC).Primary duties include:* Designing new ways of reducing the risk introduced throughout the DevOps pipeline* Act as a leader in application security, helping engineers make their code more secure, fix complex vulnerabilities, and implement security solutions that work for everyone* Act as primary incident response engineer in cases of DevSecOps-related security issues and other events* Generate and discuss standards, requirements, and other security-related documentation to help keep the infrustructure, applications, and CICD pipelines at Bose secure* Manage vulnerabilities in BPC-related code and services, helping guide developers and other engineers towards a clear and complete solution* Create and manage security-related services, such as a secure text transfer service for sharing secrets between engineers, Terraform code bases, scripts, and moreAccomplishments include:* Resolve more than 80% of open cloud security posture vulnerabilities within first 7 months (more than 95% when including exceptions and workarounds)* Introduce new in-house FOSS service that engineers and other users can use to securely share secrets such as passwords, keys, etc* Help evangelize security throughout all of BPC, including operations, development, and devops by doing presentations, openly and consistently sharing documentation and information, and listening to feeback from users on what security pain points they experience
