About Justin Burton
An Emmy Award-winning news manager and people leader with more than 20 years in the broadcast news business, I have led teams of talented journalists across a variety of media - including but not limited to television, digital (online news writing/editing, social media, YouTube, etc.), and radio across America in places like Los Angeles, Portland, Kansas City, and San Antonio. I have worked for a variety of network affiliates, including: CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, CW, and NPR. I\'m currently the Senior Manager of News Gathering Operations at Spectrum News 1 Texas, where I oversee the daily charge to cover the news that impacts our audience across the state of Texas. I take pride in leading a talented team - including producers, anchors, reporters, and operations - to create an impactful, informative, and engaging product seen all over the Lone Star State!
