For me, that means working to build stronger, more equitable systems—both as an educational leader and as a dedicated public servant.In my professional role, I have over 20 years of experience as an educational leader, centering my work on fostering academic excellence, faculty empowerment, and student success. Throughout my career, I have a proven track record of developing and implementing transformative programs—from accelerated developmental education to workforce-preparation initiatives.In my current role as Dean of Arts & Sciences at Tri-County Technical College, my primary focus has been designing and implementing a new, sustainable organizational structure. This sociocracy-inspired model is built on principles of inclusivity and participative governance to advance educational excellence and empower faculty.My commitment to public service was honed through eight years on the Simpsonville City Council, five years as a Guardian ad Litem, and advocacy for foster care reform. This blend of practical experience in both local government and higher education is why I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Public Administration (DPA) at West Chester University—allowing me to combine practice with a deeper understanding of the policies and ethics that shape our communities.I am excited to see how this next part of my journey continues to equip me to \"be the change.\"
