Developed a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) model to route incoming online orders to appropriate fulfilment centers considering putting individual materials in packages, minimizing transportation costs• Designed heuristic models to create tractable solution approaches to route orders and consider packaging in a reasonable time frame• Enhanced a prediction model using XGBoost to estimate unloading time for a trailer based on product categories loaded • Crafted a genetic algorithm in conjunction with business policies to prioritize the unloading of trailers to minimize detention fees• Formulated a Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP) model to decide on relocating a cross dock with the objective of minimizing total annual transportation cost
