ABOUT JAZMYNE SIMMONS

What my LinkedIn or resume won’t tell you is that I failed statistics twice during my time at the University of Pennsylvania, experienced four concussions within 20 months, and more often crawled to final review during my Architecture crits than thrived.During my first summer internship in Washington, D.C, I turned an unpaid full-time role into part-time so I could intern at another firm, equally feeding my curiosity. That summer, fueled by chicken pot pies, I was weaning off anti-seizure medication while tackling online calculus (doing the most I know, but enthusiastically enjoying my first taste of the District).There isn’t a profile section to fully capture this, but this unique chapter is a source of deep pride. Before acquiring traditional \"real-world\" experience deemed worthy on LinkedIn, I was already being tested to adapt, be creative, and give myself grace to show up again and again – qualities I bring to every team and project I\'m involved in.The resilience and resourcefulness honed during this time profoundly influence how I approach design thinking today, allowing me to transcend boundaries from the physical world of Interior Design to creating digital User-Centered Experiences that are both authentic and transformative. As a Founder and Principal Designer, I\'m passionate about bringing this unique perspective to every digital or physical space or project and empowering those involved along the way.
