I ground my work in three pillars: Diversity, Community, and Communication.Diversity- At Spelman College, I built an interdisciplinary foundation in economics, politics, and culture from a global lens. Studying abroad in Barcelona not only sharpened my Spanish but also deepened my appreciation for cultural exchange—something I now aim to channel through media to unite audiences.Community- As an Associate for the Miami-Dade County Commissioner’s office, I managed PR responsibilities including press releases, speech writing, and event coordination. From Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations to cross-country student trips, I learned how to create spaces where community thrives.Communication—At Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, I honed my storytelling skills in AP Style writing, Adobe Premiere Pro, and on-site reporting. Highlights include producing a televised interview with Olympic legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee (published in USA Today) and working as an MMJ for CANTV.
