Assisted with the scoping, developing of projects plans all the way through to execution, start-up and then the assurance of a completed handover.• Technical Codes and Standard lead, took on and challenged our corporate specifications, reviewed and re-wrote local addendums that more matched Industry standards and best practices, created data sheets and detailed installation drawings that were able to be reproduced, saving capital on various projects.• Consistently challenged and guided electrical & instrumentation designs executed by our engineering service providers. In one project example, I reduced the number engineering drawings by 20% while retaining all required design information, optimizing equipment design sizing & arrangements to save over just in an electrical building and equipment costs. This then became repeatable over the development pads. • Adept at proactively working across discipline and functional boundaries to drive value. • Lead power Infrastructure projects with both ATCO Electric and Fortis Alberta• Contract negotiations with supply chain and legal to set up the required service providers and suppliers to enable direct purchasing agreements for bulk discounts and to avoid third party handling fees. • Responsible for managing EPC’s, ensuring their electrical & instrumentation designs met our needs
