Primary scopes of work: Steel Stud framing, insulation, drywall, interior and exterior painting, acoustic ceiling, wall covering, misc. millwork items and etc. Project up to types: Multifamily Residential, Commercial, Health Care, Institutional, Industrial, Tenant Improvement- Supervise and direct other quantity surveyors to perform project scope reviews and quantity take-offs. Review complete take-offs to ensure inclusion of all scopes of work- Prepare quotations based on tender documents. All quotes to include pricing for material, labor, and equipment. Estimates include clarifications, separate prices, and complete scope of work- Effectively communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors with questions to help understand the scope of tender, site instructions, contemplated change notices, and any other project-related items that might have cost/schedule impacts- Review and compare subcontractors’ quotes. Make appropriate recommendations on best-value quotes received, and incorporate such quotes into the final proposal- Set up and maintain digital project files for new or current projects. Monitor current projects on Project management platforms such as Procore, Google Drive. Update drawings, submittals, and any other project-related documents to ensure the field crew has up-to-date information for all projects- Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Cold-calling new suppliers and subcontractors when needed- Present accurate and organized takeoffs to General Contractors when requested and be able to explain quantities and pricing- Create budgets, scopes of work, and job set-up in preparation to hand over to field team and accounting- Consult the field team through the duration of the project providing support with scope clarifications, budget, scheduling, and cost analysis.
