About Jayson Tomlin

I didn’t start my career in marketing—I started with a dream to make hit records and tour the world. As a second-generation musician and trained recording engineer, the technical side of production always felt natural. After completing audio engineering training in 1994, I discovered a passion for teaching, which gradually pulled me into sales, support, and eventually global representation for audio manufacturers.That same passion for education eventually led me to marketing. Today at RISE, I focus on marketing strategy, product positioning, competitive analysis, and business planning. I\'m certified in HubSpot SEO, Digital Marketing, and Content Marketing.Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked across nearly every corner of the audio world—production, mastering, audiophile, broadcast, radio, streaming, and live sound. And yes, I still play in a band. In 2014, I co-developed FiDef, a patented audio technology that attracted legendary producers like Steely Dan’s Gary Katz. We traveled the globe showcasing the technology at iconic studios like Abbey Road and The Village.
