I am the Frederick P. Rose Curator in Charge in the Department of Musical Instruments at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have published articles about the collecting of fine violins, the development of the American guitar, the development of the trap set, side drums in the United States, and European kettledrums. I am a pianist, organist, and drummer and love music of all styles. I am interested in using digital technology and social media to bring music and musical instrument history to a general audience.
