About Jayson Chang
I\'m a dedicated public educator currently teaching high school social science, including World History, Government/Economics, Financial Literacy, and AP Human Geography. Beyond content, I’m passionate about building student-centered classrooms grounded in social-emotional learning and culturally relevant pedagogy. For me, meaningful relationships and equitable learning environments are at the heart of impactful teaching.Outside the classroom, I help lead professional development for educators nationwide through the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association. My focus areas include history education, instructional practices, racial equity, and BIPOC leadership.I\'m also part of the founding team at The Asian American Education Project, a nonprofit organization committed to integrating Asian American and Pacific Islander history into K–12 classrooms. I support curriculum development, educator training, and operations to help schools across the country bring inclusive history into their teaching.
