About Jayrion Wilson
Jayrion Wilson (he/him) is currently attending UNC Charlotte, working to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. With an expected graduation date of May 2026. Currently initiating a new venture as Founder & President of a new student-led campus organization, Coloring 4 Chemo at UNC Charlotte, he works to ensure a community upon service, interpersonal communication, leadership, and empathy. Wilson spent the past four months working toward a greater cause, to impact adolescents undergoing Chemotherapy within the Charlotte region. Enhancing and strengthening his leadership abilities, Wilson also stands as a liaison between current UNC Charlotte Alumni and the Student Body, as a Student Ambassador for the Student Alumni Society — collaborating with a group of approximately 40 other students, working to bridge the gap between both social groups and career opportunities that arise. Continuing his work on leadership and community engagement, he serves as the Marketing Chair for the Future Alumni Network under Alumni Engagement at UNC Charlotte, where he manages to create engaging and informative social media advertisements and graphical content to connect current and incoming students with alumni, to further enhance students to grow their personal network, connect to greater opportunities and connections for career development. Growing into his specific field and occupational journey, Wilson connects to Architecture as the Social Media Director for the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students, NOMAS, where he uses graphical and entertaining content to reach broad audiences of minority students within the UNC Charlotte David R. Ravin School of Architecture. Wilson continues his time within the Enrollment Programs & Communications department, under his role as one fifth of the departments Community Builders team. Collectively, they currently work toward building a strong community for incoming students to build useful skills and connections to help them on future endeavors at the university. Most recently, Wilson began his role as Brand Associate for the Old Navy and Gap, Inc. brands, where he works to enhance communication and customer advertising regarding both brand official merchandise cards and products.Wilson has continued to build useful connections and leadership qualities throughout his career growth journey as he is a former New Student Orientation Intern (2024-25), Orientation Counselor (2023-24), CoA+A Architecture Arts Representative (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) and UNC Charlotte Teaching Assistant (Spring 2024)
