ABOUT JAY PORTER
I\'m proud to lead the team at Revere, a Daniel J. Edelman Inc. agency focused on technology – both as a vibrant sector and as the engine of transformation across all aspects of business and society. My career path reflects passionate engagement and inspirational leadership around the most important trends in communications and marketing over the past two decades: the empowerment of consumers as drivers of brand value, the democratization of media and influence, the rise of social media, and the rapid convergence of brand and corporate reputation. These shifts have created challenging opportunities for my clients and agency teams. I work to unlock value by championing breakthrough insights and optimizing talent and process to solve business and marketing problems. Previously, I served as global lead for Edelman’s work with Starbucks, driving work in 20+ offices around the world. In that role I counseled company leadership on topics as varied as market entries in India and Vietnam, the acquisition of Teavana, the company’s policies on guns, its wellness platform, growth in China and its approach to in-store marketing. Prior to that, I led Edelman SF to become the fastest-growing office in the Edelman network, winning clients including eBay, Levi Strauss & Co. and Shutterfly. I was co-lead of the team that re-booted the launch of Windows Vista just 100 days before its debut, and also led Edelman’s PR and social media AOR assignment for Axe (Unilever). I originally joined Edelman Seattle in 2005 as the head of the consumer team. Before joining Edelman, I was West Coast head of planning for NY-based integrated marketing firm SS+K and a brand strategist at design consultancy Landor Associates, working with Xbox, Getty Images, Nike, Isilon Systems and numerous startups.
