ABOUT JAY NIBBE

I have recently retired from EY after 39 years, serving in a variety of leadership and client serving roles. My most recent role at EY was Global Vice Chair – Markets where I was responsible for leading the go-to-market approach and exceptional client service (ECS) to all Accounts across all EY service lines, sectors and geographic areas. I served on the Global Executive Board of EY for 11 years, as well as the EMEIA and Americas Boards during my tenure.I currently serve on the Board of the Graduate Management Admission Council. I joined EY in 1985 and have held a number of leadership positions in my time with the firm. I was previously Global Vice Chair – Tax and led all aspects of EY’s Tax strategy and operations; the Chair of EY’s Global Accounts Committee, representing EY’s largest accounts and also Deputy Managing Partner of EY’s EMEIA Area. As a tax professional, I was Americas Vice Chair – Tax and also served as Tax Managing Partner in three roles – Americas Tax Markets, the Midwest Area, and the CIS Tax Practice (Moscow).As today’s businesses, governments and individuals respond to shifts in geo-economic trends that have accelerated in recent years it was a privilege to support leading trade associations and universities in business studies, economics, and finance. I chaired the EY Institute for Emerging Markets Studies (IEMS) with our academic partners at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong); Skolkovo School of Management (Moscow) and India School of Business (Hyderabad). I was previously a Board Member at Minnesota State University Moorhead Alumni Foundation (20••••09) and have recently rejoined the Board in 2024.
