This position exists to provide daily scheduling, event coordination, and negotiating and organizational expertise for the University Events department. This position serves as a primary point of contact for GUC, Memorial Amphitheater, Stone Lodge, Harrison Plaza, and Coby Hall. The position works as software administrator coordinating and enhancing facility/event scheduling for other areas of campus using EMS Professional as their scheduling solution. Associate Director of University Events & Scheduling to be responsible for supervising and coordinating event management, for all University Events managed events, including but not limited to vendor/exhibition type shows, conferences, other academic, administrative, and professional artistic performances housed in the facilities mentioned above. This position is responsible for scheduling and conducting pre-event meetings when necessary; making recommendations to the Events Director for policy and procedure implementation. The Associate Director will work directly with clients and event sponsors to provide services including contract administration, coordination of technical support, parking and crowd control and coordinate services including campus police, maintenance, and contracted services such as food service, event security coordination and equipment rental. This position will provide guidance and direction to one full-time and a large part-time student staff.
