ABOUT JAYMIN SHAH

At FST Technical Services, my responsibilities involve conducting comprehensive energy audits to identify areas of inefficiency and developing retro-commissioning plans to optimize the performance of building systems. In addition, I analyze energy usage data to track building performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Working closely with building owners, operators, and maintenance staff, I ensure that energy-saving measures are effectively implemented and maintained. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in energy efficiency and sustainability, I also provide technical guidance and support to clients, including assistance with incentive programs and funding opportunities. Prior to this, I worked as a Senior Account Manager, Energy Efficiency with ICF, where I developed budget quality cost estimates for energy conservation measures at residential single-family and multifamily facilities. I was responsible for identifying and quantifying energy conservation measures associated with HVAC systems, energy management systems, building envelope improvements, and renewable energy technologies. Moreover, I was familiar with all phases of project development, including auditing, measure implementation, rebate reservation, customer loan, and final completion documents. I also reviewed design documents, equipment submittals, AHRI certificate, and supporting documentation to validate scopes of work. During my tenure at ICF, I maintained strong ongoing communications with 40+ home performance participating contractors and consultants to assess their needs and manage their projects and program paperwork. My previous role was as an Energy Auditor/Quality Control Inspector with Greater Bergen Community Action, Inc. Here, I conducted BPI Energy Audit/Quality Control Inspection for single and double-family residential buildings. My responsibilities involved inspecting and analyzing building envelopes, HVAC systems, heating systems, electrical, plumbing, and all other aspects of building characteristics that may be considered for home improvement, with an emphasis on energy efficiency. I conducted diagnostic testing on audited homes, including blower door tests and combustion analysis on homes containing combustible appliances and/or heating systems. Additionally, I performed a wide variety of testing and diagnostics to identify energy conservation potential and unsafe or hazardous conditions.
