   Owners, Jay and Danielle Mechtly, are extremely passionate about providing the best youth sports leagues in Wilmington, Jacksonville, Leland and surrounding areas. Jay and Danielle are proud parents of 3 boys and 1 girl. In Dec of 2013 Jay was transferred by Corning Inc to a new position in Fort Worth, TX. While there, they were introduced to i9 Sports as parents of 3 flag football players and a cheerleader. Their great experience as parents in the league and their desire to move back to Wilmington, NC led them to open the i9 Sports – Wilmington Franchise in 2015.i9 Sports – Wilmington‘s programs include flag football, soccer, t-ball, and basketball for boys and girls ages 3 to 14. These programs are offered year-round. If you are looking for a safe and positive environment for your child to make new friends, have fun, learn valuable life skills such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, communication and more, Jay and Danielle would be honored to have you join them.
