ABOUT JAYME RINGLEB

The summer before my senior year in high school, I was part of a traveling study abroad program in Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia. During a visit to Meiji Jingu, a Shinto shrine in Tokyo, my teacher gifted me a housaiyoke omamori—a small, sealed prayer card meant to protect its owner and offer stability during times of change. I’ve carried my omamori in my wallet ever since. As the Associate Director of Academic Programs at CIMBA Italy, I often think about stability during times of change, because study abroad experiences change you—immensely, if you let them. One thing I love about my work at CIMBA is the opportunity to collaborate with institutions of higher learning to develop curricula that help students learn both in and out of the classroom, creating global learning experiences that are transformative on both academic and deeply personal levels. My goal is simple: to make sure CIMBA provides every student with the stability they need during a time of incredibly rewarding change. With CIMBA at their backs, I hope students feel empowered to venture further outside their comfort zones and discover more about themselves than they ever thought possible.
