About Jaylen Wheat
I am a highly motivated and diligent nutrition professional seeking employment in the performance nutrition field. I have recently completed my dietetic internship and received my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a concentration in sports nutrition from Texas Tech University. I have over two and a half years of performance nutrition experience with collegiate athletes, where I was a fueling station manager for Olympic sports at Texas Tech, supporting 200+ athletes. In addition, I gained experience counseling individual athletes, managing student interns, creating/presenting performance education handouts, hosting dietetic interns, and body composition testing while in my undergrad and graduate studies. Becoming a sports dietitian has been a dream of mine since the age of 15, as I grew up learning the importance of nutrition and athletic performance when playing club soccer and volleyball. I am eager to begin my career as a sports dietitian and help athletes reach their full potential through performance nutrition!
