Jayla Lee joined San Diego Mesa College as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in January 2025.Lee has been teaching college courses since 2016. She previously taught as a lecturer and adjunct professor at San Diego State University, University of San Diego, San Diego Community College District, College and Career Access Pathways, and Upward Bound. She teaches courses on interpersonal communication, public speaking, public relations, media studies, and research methods.She earned her Master’s Degree in Communication with a specialization in mass communication and media studies from SDSU in 2018. She previously served the university as a Communications Assistant to the Office of the Provost, Media Relations Assistant, and Public Affairs/Communications Specialist for its School of Journalism and Media Studies.She is passionate about student success and contributing to the world through education.
