About Jay Fluegel

Product exec, developer of talent and storyteller with two decades of Product leadership experience. Founder of Atomically, a product consulting company helping start-up’s, scale-ups, and established enterprises transform their businesses, products, technology, and leadership. I love leading cross-discipline organizations and creating an optimal culture and environment for creatives to thrive in.I am a systems thinker who loves taking a ton of moving parts and using design and technology to deliver frictionless end-to-end product experiences where the outcome ends up being greater than the individual parts. My stints in healthcare software and customer service experiences fostered a deep appreciation for technology experiences that need to seamlessly integrate help from human staff at the right moment in the experience. The movie scene that resonates with me the most is in Apollo 13 when the NASA commander walks into the room of disparate folks and dumps all the loose parts from the spaceship onto the table and says we need to design a way to keep the astronauts alive out of just those parts.Designing and building seamless integration of devices, software, and cloud services is also an example of a challenge I find very fulfilling. I am an entrepreneur at heart who also created or found intrapreneurial opportunities inside large companies to deliver Day 0 products and businesses and then mature them through many releases. I have also been on the management teams of startups including Jump Networks which was acquired by Microsoft, and built or turned around teams at Microsoft, Expedia, and Axon.
