CareFlash (https://careflash.com) was born out of a caretaking experience surrounding a loved one. Caring for them required constant coordination. Nonstop updates and work to coordinate family support added to my already full plate. Families want to support, but don’t know how. Patients crave socialization but are lukewarm about all the sympathies. Adhering to appointments and therapies are everyday priorities - with significant implications. Caretakers need respite and balance but grow weary trying to engage it. The end result is a caretaker weakened and unable to capably care for the loved one. CareFlash offers the unprecedented Careopolis - secure, invitation-only web / mobile micro-communities that foster a metropolis of empathy and healing among loved ones.
