About Jaydev Dhakan

Growing up I was always a very observant guy. I like learning about how things work and what makes them tick, be it people or machines or systems. Video games were always my way of escaping into an immersive experience of epic scales even games as simple as Tetris and pac-man always fascinated me with the simplicity of their mechanics but yet countless gameplay scenarios that it would create. In 2004 i joined paradox Studios as a game tester after applying to various studios for 6 years.My observant nature and ability to learn quickly made for me to be a good tester where I would find bugs and also be able to figure out a possible solution to fixing it. This systematic and observant approach allowed for me to move to game designing since it would be better off for me to solve design issues at the beginning of the game development cycle rather than at the end when the game is sent for testing. I am also very good at understanding various issues that programmer and artists face while creating games because of formal training in programming and art that I went for while trying to break into the gaming Industry.
