About Jayden Seay
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today” - Malcolm X Jayden Seay is an educator, advocate, and historian with a passion for educational equity and advancing justice. He is a PhD Student at the University of Illinois, Chicago, studying Policy Studies in Urban Education. He is an alumnus of the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University, where he was an inaugural February One Scholar and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in History Secondary Education. Having interned in the United States Senate, Harvard University, North Carolina A&T State University, and multiple local nonprofit organizations, he holds a diverse portfolio of professional experience. He has held various leadership roles, such as Vice President of HBCU and MSI Relations for the University of North Carolina Association of Student Governments, Vice President for the NCA & T Honors College Student Advisory Board, and former President of the Fairfax County NAACP Youth Council. He has worked to he has worked to infuse social justice and historical literacy in discussions on campus and community. He has shared his passion on platforms including Good Morning America, the Washington Post, Uninterrupted’s “HBCU’s Rising”, and many other state and local publications. He is a strong communicator and leader and is dedicated to helping others recognize their potential and be able to communicate it effectively.
