About Jayda Somerville

Jayda Somerville is a passionate and driven content creator and aspiring television production manager dedicated to telling authentic, multidimensional stories that reflect the richness of the Black experience. Her mission is to manage and produce media that is both ethically created and culturally accurate. Media that reshapes narratives, challenges stereotypes, and uplift diverse voices across the diaspora. She currently works for Elatromme as an Editorial Assistant, where she manages the content distribution for the Cool Vector, Liquid Courage and Search Party podcasts. Additionally, her role includes client distribution outreach, monitoring engagement, and assisting with event planning.With a background in social media strategy, production, and leadership, Jayda has gained hands-on experience through roles with the Clark Atlanta University Royal Court (as a Seeds of Greatness intern), the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, and Youth Marketing Connection as a Samsung College Ambassador. She also served as a production assistant for Contenu Entertainment, where she worked on a non-scripted pilot about the lives of five Black lawyers, all of whom owned their practice. Additionally, in her last semester of college, she was a social media intern for the Clark Atlanta University Mass Media Arts department. While on campus, Jayda leads with purpose as the President of the AUC Tristate Club, a Resident Assistant and Vice President of Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Honor Society.Jayda has a proven track record of bringing creative visions to life, whether it’s managing teams, launching campus-wide events, or building content strategies from the ground up. Her leadership is marked by integrity, creativity, and a deep commitment to community.With a Bachelor of Arts from Clark Atlanta University, Jayda aspires to work in television production at a company that centers diversity, equity, and inclusion—not just in front of the camera, but behind it. Her long-term goal is to help shift the Black gaze in media, expand the narrative of Black life, and create space for the next generation of Black women in entertainment.
