About Jay Cutter

The partial of everything with respect to everything.\"- Gentry Lee\"Systems Engineering is not a matter of tools alone; it is a careful coordination of process, tools, and people.\"- Arthur HallI am a systems engineer for Blue Origin, with a focus on Design Assurance for avionics within the MK1 (cargo), MK2 (crew), and Transporter lunar vehicles. I have committed my life to ensuring my generation is the last fully terrestrial one. I recently obtained two master\'s, one in EE and one in BA, equipping myself with a deeper understanding of electrical power systems and the impacts of design changes on schedule and cost.Outside of work, I tinker in my workshop or garden, appreciating Earth while I\'m here. But my eyes are skyward, to the circumstellar civilization I am working to see before I die. I say “circumstellar” rather than “interplanetary” because I believe the future of space exploration will include not just planets, but moons, asteroids, orbital stations, and the ships we take between them. Mental energy is wasted on the discourse over whether humanity should focus on orbital habitats, the Moon, or Mars; we are still laying down the ballast for the tracks that will take us to any of these locations. We are all on the same team toward an incredible future.* Some Recommendations *\"To Engineer Is Human: The Role of Failure in Successful Design\" by Henry Petroski\"Accessory to War: The Unspoken Alliance Between Astrophysics and the Military\" by Neil deGrasse Tyson\"Chip Wars\" by Chris Miller\"The Message\" by Ta-Nehisi Coates\"Lean In\" by Sheryl Sandberg AND \"Lean Out\" by Marissa Orr[Lecture]\"So You Want to Be a System Engineer?\" by Gentry Lee
