About Jay Chen

I\'m a technology enthusiast with a decade-long journey of researching, building, and breaking new technologies. My passion lies in solving complex puzzles and creating innovative solutions. Currently, I\'m navigating the exciting world of cloud and AI security. My academic background is rooted in studying distributed storage and processing systems on mobile devices, with a focus on optimizing security and energy efficiency. As I transitioned into the industry, my interest pivoted towards microservices, the modern approach to realizing distributed systems. I researched the methodologies for minimizing the attack surfaces of containers/microservices.In recent years, with the increasing migration of apps and services to the cloud, I\'ve delved into the risks and threats of cloud-native technologies. I\'ve investigated insecure configurations, design flaws, and attackers\' TTPs, transforming these insights into detection signatures. Lately, the rapid adoption of AI services in the cloud has presented a new challenge that I\'m eager to tackle.I have authored over 25 academic and industrial research articles, including journals, white papers, and technical blogs. I\'ve also had the honor of speaking at major security conferences such as RSA, Black Hat, and BSides. If my journey resonates with yours or if you\'re intrigued by the same technological challenges, I\'d love to connect and explore the future of tech together!
