ABOUT JAY BRODERICK

Hi there! I\'m Jay (she/her), indie game developer/technical artist/illustrator and BAFTA Connect Member from Bristol. I currently work full time at Flix Interactive as a Senior Technical Artist. I have been working in the games industry for over 5 years, ontop of several years of teaching games design at SGS College.I primarily specialize in Technical Art solutions within Unreal Engine: creating materials, building visual-focused systems using scripting and VFX developing techniques for stylization in video games. I also have a broad interest in game development, with some time spent creating 2d concept art, 3d as well as being involved in design work. On top of my full time role I have worked with various freelance clients like indie studio Electric Saint.In addition to my games industry work I regularly paint illustrations, digitally and traditionally using oils and Gouache. This includes painting plein air on location where possible.I have had some of my work exhibited in gallery spaces and have picked up some notable commisions, including creating an album cover for the Completely Stretchy OST.In terms of personal interests/hobbies: I love watching sci fi and fantasy as I have a huge passion for worldbuilding.
