About Jay Brackett
More than 35 years in the chemical manufacturing industry, the first 25 in various hourly roles. Was offered and accepted a salaried position in 2001 as Maintenance Systems Administrator for the five U.S. plants using Maximo. In 2010 our small, internal team successfully completed the implementation and migration to SAP Plant Maintenance, after which I became primary support for SAP-PM for the Cognis Americas region.After the purchase of Cognis by BASF, I assisted with integration of our legacy SAP-PM data into their system. Given the choice between severance and relocating to New Jersey, I chose severance which was effective September 30, 2011. Accepted position supporting Kroger’s EAM/CMMS solution EMPAC. Responsible for user support, report writing, data loading and rollout to sites. Created two financial interfaces from EMPAC to Kroger Accounting and Accounts Payable systems. The application is currently used by 38 manufacturing, 37 logistics distribution centers, and several Ocado sites. Currently working on project to migrate EMPAC to IBM Maximo Application Suite, working with IBM team on business processes and data alignment, enrichment, mapping, export, and cleansing.
