About Jayati Gupta
Hi, I’m Jayati, an Interior Designer by profession and an artist from heart.Ever since my childhood (literally, I was 5 years old), I began building spaces. Back then, I applied some spectacular spatial techniques to create my favorite movie Leggo sets.However, I fell in love with Interior Design much later when I started pursuing my graduation in Interior Architecture Design in 2011. I began my first project while I was still studying in college and made the big leap. I began my Interior Design studio called Lifestyle Dessein in 2015.However, being an entrepreneur didn’t stop me from experimenting and exploring my subject further. So, in 2016, I moved to New York, where I did my Post-graduation in Interior Design from Parsons, The New School, New York. I spent 3 years absorbing the sleepless city vibe, their design culture and global essence of design.In less than 5 years, we designed over 50 projects from India, US etc. In 2017, Lifestyle Dessein won “Emerging designers of the Year” award. Besides this, I am passionate for designing Art and Light installations. My design was shortlisted for Borealis Light Festival, Seattle in 2019. My Public Art Installation dedicated to Covid Warriors was a winning entry at Hivekraft in 2020.‘Insite, The Design Collective, India Today, Trends’ and other reputed publications have featured me in their articles and other resources.I have delivered over 10 Design workshops and 5 talks in top colleges as well as online events.
