As the Executive Director, I lead strategic planning efforts and collaborate closely with the Governing Board to drive key policy decisions. I am responsible for overseeing project implementation, expanding services, engaging in fundraising activities, and establishing operational policies. I also fulfill additional duties assigned by the Board. In my role with SaciWATERs, I lead a South Asia regional project focused on building coastal resilience in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. SaciWATERs serves as a knowledge partner in this initiative, providing essential policy advocacy support, with backing from BMZ and the Global Nature Fund. Currently, I am spearheading an action research project that aims to understand climate change and gendered vulnerabilities, while identifying adaptation solutions for local communities in the Sundarbans, India. This project is supported by the Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA), South South North (SSN), and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). Additionally, I take the lead in initiatives that emphasize the importance of providing safe water as a human right for water-marginalized urban poor communities, particularly in the context of climate change vulnerabilities. In my role overseeing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainable business portfolio, I assists businesses in developing strategies to integrate sustainability considerations into their operations.
