About Jay Ablondi

I am an innovative and top-performing executive, with an entrepreneurial mindset and extensive expertise in communications, content creation, marketing, data analysis, event management and global business development. As EVP of Global Products for IHRSA, I oversaw the publishing, education, convention, trade show, online/mobile media, marketing, research and information technology departments. I began my career at IHRSA in the public affairs division. In I took over the association’s publishing responsibilities where I oversaw Club Business International, IHRSA’s flagship monthly magazine. I led IHRSA\'s research initiatives, which produced industry benchmark publications that provide key financial data on club operational performance and illustrate consumer trends for the industry. In 2005, I launched Get Active! a magazine for active health club members. Over my career, I have presented at industry events worldwide. In 2014, I authored Active from A to Z, IHRSA’s first children’s book (illustrated by Stan Tran) promoting early educational learning and physical activity. In 2019, I published a sequel, Active Cat Around the World. I am a founding board director for the IHRSA Foundation and a founding member of the leadership advisory board for Professionals for Association Revenue. In May 2022, I started a new role at the Massachusetts Medical Society driving the growth of its corporate partnership program as business development director. Founded in 1781, the MMS represents more than physicians, residents, fellows and medical students in Massachusetts and is a leading voice in health care policy. My core competencies include executive and team leadership and strategic business development. I possess an entrepreneurial mindset for revenue generation, new product development and building relationships based on trust and integrity. I have a determined focus on achieving results and building successful long-term partnerships.
