About Jay Williams
Jay Williams is a structured finance partner in the New York City office of DLA Piper LLP (US). Admitted to practice in New York and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, Jay\'s practice includes CLOs, warehouse lending (traditional credit facilities, as well as structured TRS and repurchase facilities), resecurizations and other types of asset-based finance. He also has extensive experience with synthetic securitizations and synthetic risk transfers in the form of CLNs, credit default swaps and total return swaps. Additionally, Jay regularly acts for special purpose vehicles (and their directors) on matters requiring independent New York or English law advice, and his clients include leading corporate services providers and trust companies in SPV jurisdictions worldwide.Jay received a B.S.F.S.(International Law) from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Wake Forest University, and an LL.M.(Securities Regulation), with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center. He also received an M.B.A.(Finance) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. An avid flyer, Jay is an FAA-certified private pilot and holds an instrument rating and also enjoys sailing and rugby.
