ABOUT JAY VAN BAVEL

Dr. Jay Van Bavel is a Professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University, an affiliate at the Stern School of Business in Management and Organizations and Norwegian School of Economics, and Director of the NYU Center for Conflict & Cooperation. He is co-author of the award-winning book \"THE POWER OF US: Harnessing Our Shared Identities to Improve Performance, Increase Cooperation, and Promote Social Harmony\" and newsletter (powerofus.substack.com) and a Keynote speaker at The Lavin Agency. He was ranked as the #5 leading Behavioral Scientist globally on LinkedIn (by Favikon).Jay is award-winning teacher and public speaker. He has given a TEDx talk at the Skoll World Forum as well as over 100 invited keynote and colloquia talks at many of the top Psychology Departments and Business Schools in the world (Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Oxford, Stanford), international conferences (Aspen Ideas Festival, Atlantic Festival, World Science Festival), and numerous organizations (e.g, Uber, Amazon, Reed Smith, Canadian Space Agency). He teaches one of the most popular courses at NYU as well as classes on Social Psychology, Social Neuroscience, Attitudes and Evaluation, Intergroup Relations, and Moral Psychology.Jay completed his PhD at the University of Toronto. He has published over 150 academic papers and he is a Clarivate highly cited researcher (in the top 1% of researchers worldwide). He has also won several awards for his research on how group dynamics and collective psychology.
