ABOUT JAY TILWANI

My name is Jay Tilwani, and I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently, I am employed as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Adani Wilmar Limited. In the initial phase of my career, I had the opportunity to gain exposure to various departments within the industry, allowing me to familiarize myself with both the commercial and technical aspects of the organization. Subsequently, I was granted the privilege to work in the Procurement department, which combines technological expertise with commercial considerations. In this role, I have been responsible for facilitating the conversion of purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO) within the designated timeframe. I have actively participated in every stage of the process, including enquiry, comparison, negotiation, delivery coordination, payment terms, and monitoring the status of both payments and deliveries. Notably, I have had the chance to analyze and compare offers for projects valued at significant amounts. Through my experiences, I have developed innovative solutions to enhance follow-up procedures, improve team efficiency, and adopt alternative approaches to tracking the status of purchase requisitions. Additionally, my work has taken me to different locations, where I have collaborated with esteemed professionals. Their positive feedback regarding my work ethic, style, and enthusiasm has bolstered my confidence and earned the respect of my colleagues. Consequently, I am assured of the quality of my work and strive to instill the same level of confidence in those around me, particularly my esteemed peers.
